Vietnamese EV maker VinFast has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs, priced from ₹16.49 lakh. The announcement follows the commencement of production at the company’s new facility in Tamil Nadu.
Initially, the two models will be imported into India through the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route, with more vehicles expected in the coming years. Reservations for both models are now open on the brand’s official website.
VinFast VF6: Key Details
- Dimensions: The VF6 measures 4,238 mm in length, 1,820 mm in width, and has a 2,730 mm wheelbase, offering 423 litres of boot space.
- Design: It features a coupe-like profile, connected rear LED light bar, and V-shaped LED daytime running lights.
- Variants: Offered in Eco and Plus trims.
- Eco Trim: 59 kWh battery, 174 hp, 250 Nm, 399 km WLTP-certified range.
- Plus Trim: 59 kWh battery, 204 hp, 310 Nm, 381 km WLTP-certified range.
- Charging: Supports DC fast charging, allowing 20–80% charge in about 30 minutes.
VinFast VF7: Premium EV with More Power
